Its emblem is an anciently crowned dragon with spread wings, holding in its right claw a blue pennant with the letter U in gold, topped by a royal crown (Umberto I of Italy). Its colors are antique pink and green, striped with yellow. The contrada&#8217;s motto is &#8220;The heart that burns in me becomes flame in my mouth.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"699\" src=\"https:\/\/www.albergominerva.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/drago.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11047\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.albergominerva.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/drago.jpg 696w, https:\/\/www.albergominerva.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/drago-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.albergominerva.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/drago-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The contrada holds the title of &#8220;Dragon&#8221; for having hosted the first meeting of the Magistrato delle Contrade. Its belonging Terzo is Camollia. The military companies associated with the contrada are San Donato ai Montanini and Sant&#8217;Egidio. The allied contrada of the Dragon is Aquila. The patron saint of the contrada is Saint Catherine of Siena, and the titular celebration is held on the last Sunday of May. The contrada&#8217;s guild is that of bankers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dragon Contrada is one of Siena&#8217;s oldest contrades, with a long and rich history.
