The Baptistery of San Giovanni in Siena

The Stories of John, taken from the Gospel, are in the form of a narration starting from the episode in which the old priest Zaccaria was announced that his wife, even if sterile, had the possibility to conceive what would become the future Giovanni.
La Fonte is a real wonder where there are the Statues of Virtue created by Donatello and others by Goro di Nericcio and Giovanni di Turino.
The ciborium has instead four Angels and the Statue of St. John the Baptist.
Inside the Baptistery there are also statues that date back to the Academy of Giovanni Pisano and other frescoes.
